Hal has been retired from the General Council of the Texas Board of Chiropractic Examiners since 2013, and has over 25 years as a state employee. He previously was the principle of his own law firm, before returning to state government. Hal has a B.A. from the University of Texas and a J.D. from St. Mary’s University School of Law. Hal is a member of the Texas state bar, Austin bar, and the San Antonio bar. Hal has served on the PECU Board since 1993. Hal was Chairman of the PECU Board from 2004 to 2014 and currently serves as Board Chairman Emeritus.
Tommy Gregg has worked in finance and management for 23 years at the Texas General Land Office, with most of those years being in one of its divisions, the Texas Veterans Land Board which provides land loans, home mortgages and home improvement loans to Texas Veterans. Mr. Gregg retired September 30, 2013. Before joining the Texas General Land Office, Mr. Gregg held management positions with the Beall’s and Palais Royal Department Store Groups in Austin and San Antonio. Mr. Gregg has been a PECU Board member since 2009. Mr. Gregg is also on the Board of Directors of the Austin Midnight Basketball organization for youths.
Patrick has worked at the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) since 2001. He currently works in the project finance division of TxDOT where he helps manage the department’s bond programs and the procurement of large-scale highway projects. He started at TxDOT in the legislative affairs office where he represented the department during the legislative process to enact several landmark bills dealing with infrastructure financing. Before TxDOT, Patrick worked in Washington, DC for two Congressmen and a corporate law firm. Patrick has a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from the University of Texas at Austin. He was appointed to the Board in August 2019.
